Blog Post #8 ~Three Things to Take Away from a Passage Read in Class

1) More dramatic and action should be used in dialog. Good dialog moves things along to leave you breathless. Read your dialog aloud to hear how it sounds.
2) Play with other peoples dialog. Listen and observe to behavior and personality in dialog. Identify the characters self-dialogs by their mannerisms.
3) Put two people together that would want to avoid each other. This will start a super charged atmosphere, with fear of explosion in dialog. Make a difference between what is said and not said; allow the watcher/reader to be able to take away things that aren't actually said.
